Lab Testing

Lab Testing
Specific lab testing is so important in that we look at different areas of your health to determine root causes of disease process. We look at your micronutrient deficiencies, your gut health, your hormonal health, your environmental toxins, along with your stress factors.  These key components give rise to preventative medicine rather than reactive medicine.  Why should that matter? Everything in your body works in a harmonized fashion, if one key area becomes imbalanced several issues can arise. Your Austin Pain Wellness provider will come up with a specific treatment plan that is unique to your deficiencies to promote longevity and help restore balance to sustain healthy lifestyle.

Micronutrient Testing
The term micronutrients is used to describe the vitamins and minerals we need for our bodies to function normally.  We obtain micronutrients from our food with few exceptions, which is why they are sometimes referred to as essential nutrients.  Macronutrients, on the other hand, include the large food groups like proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The Micronutrient test measures your body’s ability to absorb these vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. This non-fasting blood test identifies deficiencies and gives you a roadmap for beginning corrections.  Because it has become difficult to consistently obtain nutritionally dense food, due to factors such as large-scale farming practices and toxins present in the environment, confirming that you have levels of micronutrients sufficient for optimal biologic function is important.

Gut Testing

This advanced stool test will look at five key areas of gastrointestinal function: maldigestion, inflammation, dysbiosis, metabolite imbalance, and infection. This specific test allows your Austin Pain Wellness provider to make a sound decision towards prioritizing treatment plans and assessing microbiome function. This important data provides root cause analysis of most gastrointestinal symptoms that could be the source of abdominal pain, bloating, indigestion, and constipation. More importantly this specific stool analyzes biomarkers that indicate whether ot not an individual has leaky gut syndrome, intestinal bacterial overgrowth, inflammatory bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome. Once issues are identified we are able to create a dietary lifestyle that meets your needs along with therapeutic supplementation that restores gut balance.
