Opioid Detoxification

Amino Acid and NAD Detoxification (Neurotransmitter Restoration Therapy)

Also known as Neurotransmitter Restoration Therapy (NRT), this specialized IV infusion therapy works to not only blunt the withdrawal symptoms of detoxification from prescription opioids, benzodiazepines, and alcohol dependence, but it also replaces and replenishes critical neurotransmitters in the brain and central nervous system that are typically dramatically depleted in addiction disorders.  This results from these drugs of abuse actually mimicking and/or blocking the normal neurotransmitter function of dopamine and serotonin, among others.

Amino acid replacement followed by daily NAD infusions of up to 750 mg-1000 mg, works by restoring nutritional balance, controlling cravings, and providing mental clarity.  Amino acid and NAD detox speeds up recovery, decreases painful withdrawal symptoms, and when combined with effective behavioral modification, promotes long term recovery.

In a longitudinal study of Amino Acid and NAD detoxification sponsored by the World Health Organization that included over 3000 patients, 70% of these patients were sober after three years.

To enter into a course of amino acid and NAD detox, you will start with  a comprehensive evaluation by Dr. Wills and his team to determine if you are a good candidate.  The proper mixture of amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and your dosing of NAD will be customized to your specific needs.

A typical treatment course might last between 7-14 days, and include gradually building up to a daily NAD infusion dose of 750 – 1000 mg.  Maximum doses are typically no more than 2 grams per day.  The infusions are done in our spa-like IV infusion lounge, and under continuous medical supervision.
